New specialized courses
The following mandatory specialized courses will be commenced at NUST and CUST – Pakistan; CMU and MFU – Thailand, NUM, and MNUMS – Mongolia within the project duration (2021 – 2024). This will also lead towards launching of a new specialization stream in their degree programs e.g., Master of Science in Computer Engineering with specialization in healthcare; Master of Science in Biomedicine with a new index in AI in healthcare.
- Course 1 – Internet of Things for healthcare (3 U.S. credit hours -> 6 ECTS credits)
- Course 2 – AI/ML for healthcare (3 U.S. credit hours -> 6 ECTS credits)
- Course 3 – Embedded systems for healthcare (3 U.S. credit hours -> 6 ECTS credits)
- Thesis/report – Case study on healthcare projects (6 U.S. credit points -> 12 ECTS credits)
Vocational training course
Vocational type training courses will also be commenced at the partner countries in which paramedical staff, medical students, internees, etc. will be trained by giving a detailed insight on the pilot cases that are developed and prototyped during the project. The courses will be repeated each year after M18 of the project.
MNUMS and NUM is planning is start 3-6 months continuing education training in “AI in healthcare” from March 2022
